Fluorocarbon

Thermoplastic resins chemically similar to the polyolefins, with all of the hydrogen atoms replaced with fluorine atoms. They are made from monomers composed only of fluorine and carbon. The main members of the fluorocarbon resin family are polytetrafluoroethylene (P.T.F.E.), fluorinated ethylene propylene (F.E.P.) and polyhexafluoropropylene, which can be used for injection molding and continuous pultrusion of glass fiber reinforcements.
